Log Suppression Policies

It is recommended that you learn log suppression policies and obtain backup log files in a timely manner for maintaining and locating faults.

Table 7-15 describes the log suppression policies for each module.

  • If the size of a SYS log file exceeds 1 MB, the system automatically creates a log file. A maximum of four SYS backup log files can exist in the system.

    If the log files all reach their maximum sizes, the created log file will overwrite the earliest backup log file created by the system.

  • If the size of a USER log file exceeds 1 MB, the system automatically creates a log file. A maximum of four USER backup log files can exist in the system.

    If the log files all reach their maximum sizes, the created log file will overwrite the earliest backup log file created by the system.

  • If the size of a DEBUG log file exceeds 1 MB, the system automatically creates a log file. A maximum of four DEBUG backup log files can exist in the system.

    If the log files all reach their maximum sizes, the created log file will overwrite the earliest backup log file created by the system.

  • If the size of a SAFE log file exceeds 1 MB, the system automatically creates a log file. A maximum of four SAFE backup log files can exist in the system.

    If the log files all reach their maximum sizes, the created log file will overwrite the earliest backup log file created by the system.

Touch panel

The number of log records cannot exceed 10,000. The length of each log record cannot exceed 100 characters.

If the number of log records exceeds 10,000, the new log record will overwrite the earliest one.
