Checking the System Information

Checking the System Information

To ensure that your endpoint runs properly, check its system information regularly.

Context

Regularly check the system information of the endpoint to know its conference resources and capabilities, facilitating appropriate allocation of conference resources.

Prerequisites

The conference capabilities of the endpoint are determined by the license loaded on the endpoint.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the endpoint web interface as the administrator.
  2. Choose Maintenance > System Information.

    The System Information page is displayed, as shown in Figure 6-3.

  3. Check the items described in Table 6-6.

    Audio

    The audio codec capability works properly.

    Video

    The video codec capability works properly.

    Interface/Bandwidth

    • The IP address can be obtained.
    • The device meets the conference requirements.

    Built-in MCU

    Check whether the device supports the built-in MCU. If the built-in MCU is supported, check its resources.
    NOTE:

    If the built-in MCU stops working after its license expires, import a new license in time.

    SIP

    Check whether the device supports SIP-based communication.

    Dual stream

    Check whether the device supports dual-stream calls.

    H.235 Encryption

    Check whether the device supports H.235 encryption.

    Lync

    Check whether the device can communicate with a Lync client.

    SVC

    Check whether the device supports the SVC function.

    Wi-Fi

    Check whether the device supports Wi-Fi access.

    PSTN

    Check whether the device supports PSTN access.

    Maximum presentation resolution

    Check the maximum presentation resolution of the device.

    Maximum encoding capacity

    Check the maximum encoding capability of the device.

    Maximum encoding capacity

    Check the maximum decoding capability of the device.

    License validity period

    Check whether the license expires.
    NOTE:

    If it has expired, purchase and import a new license.

    Network Diagnostics Client

    Check whether the network diagnostics client is connected properly.

    ESN

    Check the device ESN.

    MAC address

    Check the MAC address of the device.
