Installation Specifications for the PGND Cables and Power Cables

Installation of PGND cables and power cables must adhere to the following rules:
  • When routing PGND cables and power cables, precisely measure the distance between the cabinet grounding terminal and the ground bar as well as the distance between the PDB/PDU connector and the AC PDC. Reserve a proper length for the connecting cable. If the reserved length is too short, replace the cable with a longer one.
  • Redundant parts of PGND cables and power cables are cut off, not coiled up.
  • PGND cables of intra-cabinet components are connected to the nearest mounting bar of a cabinet. To achieve an eye-pleasant effect, connect cables downward to nearest mounting bars. If the redundant part of a PGND cable is too long, coil it up.
  • For maintenance convenience, active/standby power cables of one device are inserted to the same positions of different PDBs/PDUs.
