Connecting a Power Cable for a P36E or C36E Node

Connecting a Power Cable for a P36E or C36E Node

This section describes how to install a power cable for a P36E or C36E. The cable provides power supply for the P36E or C36E node. P36E or C36E has no ground terminal. Connect the cabinet housing the node to a PGND cable.

  • Huawei cabinet-accompanying power distribution unit (PDU) or a third party's cabinet-accompanying power distribution device has been prepared.
  • All required tools have been prepared, containing Phillips screwdrivers, cable ties, diagonal pliers, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) gloves or an ESD wrist strap.
  • A P36E or C36E has been installed.

For details about power distribution relationship of intra-cabinet components, see Overall Configurations.

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.
  2. Insert one end of the power cable into the cable connector on the AC power supply module of the P36E or C36E, as shown in Figure 9-3.

  3. Use a velcro strap to bundle the power cable onto the handle of the power module.
  4. Connect the other end of the power cable to the power port of the immediately adjacent PDU and then lock it up, as shown in Figure 9-4.

To ensure that devices can operate stably, connect power cables on a device supplied by two power modules to separate PDUs.
