Installing Holding Rails for a P12E/P25E/P36E/C36E Node

After determining where to install storage nodes in the cabinet, install holding rails for bearing the P12E/P25E/P36E/C36E node.

Prerequisites

  • The cabinet has been installed.
  • All required tools and materials have been ready, including:
    • Phillips screwdrivers (M3 to M6)
    • Markers
    • M6 screws

Context

Holding rails apply to a rack with a distance of 610 mm to 914 mm between the front and rear mounting bars.

Procedure

  1. Hold down the plate on the front end of the holding rail, and pull out the hook. See steps 1 and 2 in Figure 8-6.

  2. Insert the positioning pins on the rear end of the holding rail into the square holes in the rack. See step 3 in Figure 8-6.
  3. Align the front end of the holding rail with the hole in the column, and push the holding rail forward to insert it into the hole in the column. See step 4 in Figure 8-6.
  4. Push the hook backwards to make the metal sheet close to the column. See step 5 in Figure 8-6.
  5. Optional: Install an M6 screw in the third square hole on the rear end of the holding rail to secure the rail. See step 6 in Figure 8-6.
