Application Scenarios for Maintenance Assistants

Automatic Health Check

Traditionally, you need to log in to a device and check the hardware and service running status using multiple commands to determine the health of the device. This method is time-consuming and requires much manpower.

To implement automatic health check, you can configure the maintenance assistant function on a device, as shown in Figure 9-1. The device then automatically runs the health check commands, periodically collects health check results, and sends the results to a server for analysis. This function reduces maintenance workload. When a fault occurs on the device, the system runs the preconfigured commands or script to isolate the faulty module or rectify the faulty.
