Overview of Maintenance Assistants

Overview of Maintenance Assistants

The maintenance assistant function implements automatic device management and maintenance. You can create an assistant and define the trigger condition and task of the assistant. If the assistant task is ready to run, the system monitors the device running status in real time. When the configured trigger condition is met, the system automatically performs the configured task. Assistants enable the system to monitor its running status and take actions in different conditions, improving system maintainability.

Maintenance assistants are classified into the following types:
  • Command assistant: The trigger conditions and tasks of a command assistant are configured using commands.

  • Script assistant: The trigger conditions and tasks of a script assistant are defined using Python scripts.

The device supports the following trigger conditions and tasks for command assistants:
  • Trigger conditions

    • Timer

    • Software and hardware alarms

    • Software and hardware events

    • Trap OID

    • Log

  • Tasks

    • Run commands

    • Execute batch files

    • Execute Python scripts

The device supports the following trigger conditions and tasks for script assistants:
  • Trigger conditions

    • Timer event

    • Command line event

    • Route change event

  • Tasks
