Enabling the SFU Maintenance Mode

Enabling the SFU Maintenance Mode

By default, SFUAs, SFUBs, and SFUCs are not interchangeable with SFUGs and SFUFs. To replace SFUs without restarting the switch, run the sfu maintenance mode enable command to enable the SFU maintenance mode. SFUAs, SFUBs, and SFUCs can then be interchangeable with SFUGs and SFUFs.

When replacing SFUAs, SFUBs, or SFUCs with SFUGs or SFUFs, pay attention to the following points:

Before replacing SFUGs or SFUFs with SFUAs, SFUBs, or SFUCs, remove all the SFUs from the switch, run the clear inactive-configuration { slot slot-id | all } command in the system view to clear the offline configurations of SFUs, and then install SFUAs, SFUBs, or SFUCs.

The CE12800E does not support this function.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the sfu maintenance mode enable [ chassis chassis-id ] command to enable the SFU maintenance mode.

By default, the SFU maintenance mode is disabled.

The chassis chassis-id parameter takes effect only on a stacked device.
