(Optional) Configuring Interface Mapping

(Optional) Configuring Interface Mapping

Context

An NPort Virtualization (NPV) switch interface connected to an ENode is a downlink interface, and the downlink interface must be set to the VF_Port; an NPV switch interface connected to an FCF is an uplink interface, and the uplink interface must be set to the VN_Port or VN_Port. On a traditional Fiber Channel (FC) network, interface mapping needs to be configured in an NPV instance.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run fcoe fc-instance-name npv

    The NPV instance view is displayed.

  3. Run npv-map { f-port interface fc fc-port-id1 [ to fc-port-id2 ] | vf-port interface fcoe-port fcoe-port-id1 [ to fcoe-port-id2 ] } { np-port fc fc-port-id | vn-port fcoe-port fcoe-port-id }

    Interface mapping is configured.

    By default, interface mapping is not configured in an NPV instance and an NPV instance chooses an uplink interface automatically.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
