Enabling ARP Gateway Proxy


After the ARP gateway proxy function is enabled, a device uses the gateway MAC address to make a reply upon receipt of an ARP request.


Only the CE6850HI, CE6850U-HI, CE6851HI, CE6855HI, CE6856HI, CE6860EI, CE6870EI, CE6875EI, CE6880EI, CE7850EI, CE7855EI, CE8850EI, and CE8860EI support the function.


  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run bridge-domain bd-id

    The BD view is displayed.

  3. Run arp broadcast-suppress enable

    ARP broadcast suppression is enabled.

    By default, ARP broadcast suppression is disabled.

  4. Run arp l2-proxy gateway-mac

    The ARP gateway proxy function is enabled.

    By default, the ARP gateway proxy function is disabled.

  5. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
