Performing Interconnection Commissioning

Commissioning the Software

Scenario

This section describes how to commission the software on teacher's and student's VMs to ensure that the software works properly during the class.

NOTE:

For details about how to commission the Mythware software, see the Mythware software usage guide.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the username and password for logging in to the teacher's VM.

You have performed operations in section Configuring a TC.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the teacher's TC.
  2. Open the Classroom Management by Mythware and create an account.
  3. Log in to the Classroom Management by Mythware using the account created in Step 2.
  4. Start the TC, log in to the student's VM, click Raise hand or Submit file to teacher to test whether the function works properly.
  5. Click Screen Broadcast. The screen broadcast function works properly if the screen broadcast page is displayed.
  6. Click Student Demonstration.

    The student demonstration function works properly if the student demonstration page is displayed.

  7. Click Monitor Control.

    The monitoring function works properly if the monitoring page is displayed.

  8. Click File Distribution.

    The file distribution page is displayed.

  9. Select a target file and click Send.

    The file is successfully sent to the students.

  10. In the navigation tree on the left, click .
  11. Set the whitelist and blacklist. Click Open to control the students' web pages.
  1. Choose Remote Command > Shut Down > Forcible Shutdown after the class.

Starting the Class

Scenario

This section describes how to set the sign-in parameters on the teacher's VM and complete the sign-in on the students' VMs.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the username and password for logging in to the teacher's VM.

You have performed operations in section Configuring a TC.

NOTE:

If no students are displayed in the Mythware software on the teacher's VM or if the students' VMs cannot correctly receive the information when the teacher is broadcasting the screen, see Configuring Teachers' TCs to ensure that configurations for students' TCs are successfully provisioned and take effect, that the teacher's TC has enabled screen sharing, and that the service port has been enabled on the firewall.

Procedure

Teacher's Operations

  1. Start the teacher's TC, and the CloudClient automatically starts. Enter the username and password for logging in to the teacher's desktop.
  2. Start the Classroom Management by Mythware and select the desired class before logging in to the teacher's client.

    NOTE:
    • If you have not managed any class, skip class selection.
    • If sign-in is not required for a class, skip Step 3 to Step 4.

  3. In the right pane of Manage Class, click Sign In, and then the sign-in dialog box is displayed.

    In the sign-in dialog box, select whether to perform authentication, and set the effective time of the sign-in.

  4. Click Start. The students can enter the sign-in information.

Student's Operations

The VM is ready in advance. In normal cases, students can automatically log in to the VM upon TC startup.

NOTE:

If a student fails to automatically log in to the corresponding VM upon TC startup, restart the VM or contact technical support.

Dismissing the Class

Scenario

This section describes how to dismiss the class on the teacher's VM.

Prerequisites

You have logged in to the teacher's TC.

You have performed operations in section Configuring a TC.

Procedure
  1. If the teacher wants to dismiss the class, sign out from the TC.

    NOTE:

    Sign-out is optional and required only when sign-in is performed to ensure proper sign-in in the next class.

  2. To restore the student' VM, the teacher needs to click Remote Command on the Classroom Management by Mythware.
  3. Click Shut Down from the drop-down list to shut down the TC.
  4. In the dialog box that is displayed, select Forcible shutdown. No message will be displayed., and then click OK.
