Performing Interconnection Commissioning

Commissioning the Software

Scenario

This section describes how to commission the software on teacher's and student's VMs to ensure that the software works properly during the class.

NOTE:

For details about how to commission the Mythware software, see the Mythware software usage guide.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the username and password for logging in to the teacher's VM.

You have performed operations in section Configuring a TC.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the teacher's TC.
  2. Open the Classroom Management by Mythware and create an account, as shown in Figure 2-51.

  3. Start the TC, log in to the student's VM, click Raise hand or Submit file to teacher to test whether the function works properly.
  4. Click Screen Broadcast. The screen broadcast function works properly if the screen broadcast page is displayed.
  5. Click Student Demonstration.

    The student demonstration function works properly if the student demonstration page is displayed.

  6. Click Monitor Control.

    The monitoring function works properly if the monitoring page is displayed.

  7. Click File Distribution.

    The file distribution page is displayed.

  8. Select a target file and click Send.

    The file is successfully sent to the students.

  9. In the navigation tree on the left, click .
  10. Set the whitelist and blacklist. Click Open to control the students' web pages.
  1. Choose Remote Command > Shut Down > Forcible Shutdown after the class.
  2. Choose Remote Command > Reboot student PC to remotely shut down students' terminals.

    NOTE:

    The Reboot student PC function is only available for ZT3200 terminals that are Configuring Students' TCs and have started in the current classroom.

(Optional) Rectifying Installation Problems

Scenario

This section guides software installation engineers to rectify installation problems.

Prerequisites
  • The Mythware client on a teacher's TC cannot detect students' TCs.
  • The TC systems, CloudClient, and Mythware software meet version requirements. For details, see Checking Version Mapping.
  • The preceding operations have been performed according to the installation and deployment operations.
Procedure

Checking FusionAccess

  1. For details, see Configuring Policies.

Checking the TC

  1. Check whether the IP address of the teacher's TC is a static IP address.
  2. heck whether screen sharing is enabled on the CloudClient of the teacher's TC. For details about how to enable screen sharing, see Configuring Teachers' TCs.
  3. Check whether the TC firewall of the teacher is disabled. Disable the firewall on the teacher TC.
  4. Restart the teacher's TC and check whether configurations conducted in Configuring Teachers' TCs are lost. If the configurations are lost, the protection of the teacher's TC was not disabled during the configuration. In such cases, disable the protection and perform operations described in Configuring Teachers' TCs again.
  5. Check whether the classroomteachertcip pushed during Configuring Teachers' TCs to the students' TCs is correct and check whether desktops can be automatically logged in after ZT3200 devices are restarted.

Checking Mythware

  1. Check whether Mythware clients on students' TCs can be started automatically.
  2. Check whether Mythware versions on the teacher's TC and students' TCs are desired ones.
  3. Open the Mythware client for teachers. An error is displayed, indicating that a system exception is detected and the application program will be restarted. To rectify the error, see Configuring Policies.

Checking configurations of the VM OS (for Windows)

  1. Check whether the OS firewall has been disabled.

Checking the switch configurations

  1. Check whether the cloud classroom needs to access the Internet.

    • If no, no configuration needs to be performed on the switch because TCs and servers are directly connected to the server.
    • If yes, refer to Hardware Deployment for troubleshooting.
