(Optional) Clock Synchronization Schemes

(Optional) Clock Synchronization Schemes

Clock synchronization is a prerequisite for stable running of the FusionAccess desktop system. If clocks are not synchronized, desktop system management will be in chaos. Clock synchronization ensures time consistency between the FusionAccess desktop system and VMs.

The scheme in which the AD synchronizes time with the hosts of the active and standby VRMs of FusionCompute over the management plane is recommended. Figure 3-1 shows the clock synchronization scheme.

Figure 3-1 Windows AD provided by Huawei
  • FusionCompute, FusionManager, and third-party devices synchronize time with the CNA nodes of the VRMs. You can also set CNA as the clock source of the VM.
  • User VMs and infrastructure VMs automatically synchronize time with the AD.
  • After a clock source is configured in FusionAccess, the AD automatically synchronizes time with the clock source.
