Hardware Deployment

For details about the hardware configuration and network planning of the cloud classroom solution, see the FusionAccess Desktop Solution Hardware Deployment and Networking Solution Guide.

You can query typical networking diagrams from Huawei FusionCloud Typical Networking Assistant. The following describes the requirements of typical single-classroom networking.

  • A cloud classroom does not connect to the Internet:
    • Ensure that the IP addresses of software, hardware, and VMs use 16-bit masks.
    • Directly connect servers and TCs to switches. No configuration is required on the switches.
    • Set gateway addresses required during the whole installation process to an unused IP address, for example, 172.16.0.1.
    • Use the default management port group of the VRM to provision VMs.
  • A cloud classroom connects to the Internet:
    • On the switch, create a VLAN with a 16-bit mask and configure VLANIF. Configure the ports for connecting TCs and servers to the switch. Following is an example.
      port link-type access
      port default vlan 172
    • Enable multicast for the switch and VLAN. Following is an example.
      [Quidway] igmp-snooping enable
      [Quidway] vlan 172
      [Quidway-Vlan172] igmp-snooping enable
    • Configure DNS forwarding for self-built DNS of FusionAccess so that Internet DNS resolution can be used. For details about the configuration, see Configuring DNS Forwarder (Used for Internet Access from Desktops).
    • Configure routes to public IP addresses on the switch.
