Preparing for the Installation

Downloading and Scanning Software Packages

Before installing the eSight two-node cluster system, installation personnel should download the installation software packages, tool packages, and digital signature files from the Huawei support website and check the software package integrity to ensure that the downloaded software packages are available.

Collecting Information

Installation personnel should collect site information before starting the installation. Site information includes the environment information and installation parameter information.

Installing eSight in Full Image Mode

Registering a VM Image

Installation personnel need to register the eSight image with the FusionSphere.

Creating VM Specifications

If specifications that meet the requirements exist on FusionSphere, you do not need to create the specifications.

Creating a VM Group

VMs where eSight is deployed must belong to the same anti-affinity VM group. This section describes how to create an anti-affinity VM group in the FusionSphere.

Creating a VM

Create two VMs as the active and standby servers for eSight.

Enabling the VM Watchdog

After VM creation is completed, the VM softdog needs to be enabled.

Configuring the OS

When VMs are created, the operating system installation is completed. Then the operating system needs to be configured and the name of the host running the operating system needs to be changed.

Connecting the Active and Standby Servers

After eSight is installed on the active and standby servers, connect the active and standby servers to form an HA system.

Checking System Installation

After the active and standby servers form an HA system, verify the system to ensure that it functions properly.
