Precautions

Precautions

The following restrictions must be met for installing the HA system of eSight

  • To prevent program conflict, it is recommended that other unnecessary software not be installed on the eSight server.
  • The language of eSight on the active node must be the same as that on the standby node.
  • During eSight installation or startup, only one user is allowed to perform operations on the server. If multiple users perform operations on the server simultaneously, the installation or startup will fail.
  • Do not modify the system configurations (such as environment variables) except for the operations described in this document. Otherwise, functions of eSight may become abnormal.
  • If the active and standby servers are disconnected for more than three days, data synchronization between the active and standby servers will fail, and eSight will generate an alarm. Handle the alarm as prompted.
  • If eSight is deployed on the SUSE Linux operating system, antivirus software cannot be installed.
