Performing the Active/Standby Switchover Manually

Performing the Active/Standby Switchover Manually

Services can be switched between the active and standby nodes manually for system reliability detection or system maintenance.

  • The heartbeat connection between the active and standby nodes is normal.
  • The data replication between the active and standby nodes is normal.
  • Data synchronization between the active and standby nodes is completed.

  • The switchover process takes about 10 minutes, during which eSight is unavailable.
  • After services are configured, wait two minutes until the data synchronization is completed between the active and standby servers. Otherwise, data on the active server may be different from that on the standby server.
  1. Log in to the active eSight server as the ossuser user.
  2. Run the following command to perform the active/standby switchover:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./

  3. The following information indicates that the active/standby switchover is performed successfully:

    Congratulations, exec successfully.
