Executing the Preprocessing Script

This section describes how to set up the trust relationship between the active and standby servers.

Procedure

  1. Use the PuTTY tool to log in to the active server as the root user and run the following command to start the pre-processing script:

    # cd /opt/install

    # chmod u+x install_pre.sh

    # ./install_pre.sh

  2. Enter 1 to select local-HA.

    Please select HA type, 1(local-HA)  2(remote-HA):

  3. Enter the planned system IP address, heartbeat and replication IP address and floating IP addresses.

    Please input local system ip address:
    >10.10.10.1
    Please input local heartbeat ip address:
    >192.168.100.10
    Please input float ip address:
    >10.10.10.3

  4. Configure the southbound and northbound service isolation as prompted.

    Enter 'y' to apply the setting of South IP Address or 'n' to ignore (y/n):
    • In the scenario where southbound services are isolated from northbound services, type y and press Enter. Enter the planned southbound floating IP address as prompted.
      >y
      Please input south float ip address: 
      >10.10.11.3  
    • In the scenario where southbound services are not isolated from northbound services, type n and press Enter.
      >n

  5. Enter the planned system and heartbeat and replication IP addresses of the standby server as prompted.

    Please input remote system ip address:
    >10.10.10.2
    Please input remote heartbeat ip address:
    >192.168.100.20

  6. Check whether the configurations are correct. If yes, enter y. If no, enter n and modify the configuration.

    Enter 'y' to apply these values and proceed to the next step, or 'n' to return to make any changes (y/n):
    >y 

  7. Enter the root user's password of the standby server as prompted.

    Please input remote root password: 

  8. If information similar to the following is displayed, the operation is successful.

    The entire process takes about 5 minutes.
