Changing the Password of a Database User

You can use the maintenance tool to change the administrator password and common user passwords of the databases during routine maintenance, which ensures database security. Use the maintenance tool to change the password of a database user. Otherwise, the eSight cannot be started or connect to the database after being started.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the maintenance tool client.
  • The eSight process has been stopped through the maintenance tool.
  • The database user must be available. When the database user is unavailable (for example, the user is locked due to password expiration), the password will not be changed.

Context
