Monitoring the Camera Status

The camera status can be displayed on the Resource Management page, Business MAP page, and homepage Portal to facilitate camera management.

Prerequisites

Intelligent video surveillance devices and cameras have been added to eSight.

Monitoring the Camera Status on the Resource Management Page

  1. Choose Resource > Intelligent Video Surveillance from the main menu.

  2. In the navigation tree, choose Resource Management > Camera.
  3. View and export cameras' offline and device information.

Monitoring the Camera Status on the Business MAP Page

  1. Choose Resource > Intelligent Video Surveillance from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation tree, choose Group Management > Business Map.

  3. Optional: Define colors for different camera offline ratios.

    1. If it is in monitored status, click on the topology toolbar to enter the editing mode.
    2. Click on the topology toolbar.
    3. Choose Color Settings to define colors for different offline ratios in the displayed dialog box.

  4. Optional: On the Business MAP page, select the group to be monitored, edit the topology view, and click Monitor in the upper right corner in the topology view.
  5. View the camera offline statistics of the group.

Monitoring the Camera Status on the Homepage Portal

  1. Choose Home.
  2. Click, select the IVS tab, and click on the Camera Statistic Portlet or the Camera Offline Rate Tendency Portlet.

    View the network-wide camera status or the camera offline rate tendency on the Portal.

  3. Optional: Set parameters for monitoring the camera status.

    1. Click.
    2. Set Refresh interval and Group.

      After you select a group, the status or the offline rate tendency of all cameras in the group is displayed on the Portlet.

      If you want to monitor the status or the offline rate tendency of cameras in multiple groups, create multiple Camera Statistic Portlets or the Camera Offline Rate Tendency Portlets and set the groups accordingly.
