Viewing Historical and Real-Time Performance

In a customized view, you can view the historical and real-time performance trend graph of all network elements (NEs) and links for fault diagnosis and data analysis.

Procedure

  1. Go to the historical and real-time performance view.

    1. On the menu bar, choose Resource > Storage Subnet.

    2. On the navigation bar, choose SAN Analyzer > SAN Analyzer.
    3. Click . In the navigation tree, choose Global View or Customized View.

  2. In the lower part of the page, click .
  3. On the topology, click an NE or link.

    NOTE:

    For real-time performance, each administrator account can display five performance indicator graphs.

  4. Click or to expand or collapse indicator groups.
  5. If you want to select a customized indicator, click Select Indicator.
  6. In the dialog box that is displayed, select the performance indicators that you want to view and click OK.

    A performance graph containing the selected indicators is displayed in the lower part of the page.

  7. If you wan to display the object whose Top N indicator performance is displayed, click Select Monitoring Object.
  8. In the dialog box that is displayed, select the indicator and the Top N sort order and click Search.
  9. Select the object and click OK.

    For example, if you want to display the five objects that have the highest bandwidth usage in the last one hour, select Bandwidth Usage as the indicator, 5 for Top N, High for sort order, and Last 1 Hour for time.

  10. To view the historical performance, expand the drop-down list in the upper right part of the function pane to select a time range.

    You can view historical performance by day, week, month, and year, or drag the time bar to select a time zone.

    For example, if you want to view the historical performance from 10:00 on March 18 to 5:00 on March 19, the time zone is selected as follows:

    NOTE:

    The performance data can be saved for one year at most.

  11. To view the real-time performance, expand the drop-down list in the upper right part of the function pane to select an update period.
  12. You can click or in the upper part of a performance graph to export or delete the performance graph.

  13. You can click the object color legend in the upper part of a performance graph to display or hide the performance curve of an object.
