Device Adaptation Package Management

This topic describes how to install an NE device adaptation package.


  • You have a user account at, and you are authorized to download software packages.
  • You have been assigned the operation rights of managing the unified communications object groups and the device adaptation package.


  1. Obtain the NE adaptation package and verify its integrity.

    1. On website, obtain the .zip NE adaptation package. Click PGP in the Operation column of the NE adaptation package to obtain the .asc adaptation package signature file.
    2. Use the digital certificate and verification tool provided on Huawei technical support website to verify the package integrity.

    3. After the verification is successful, decompress the NE adaptation package on the PC.

      In the decompressed file, choose the .tar OSS adaptation package based on the site requirements.

  2. Log in to the eSight client.
  3. Choose Resource > Collaboration > Network Element Device Management from the main menu.
  4. Choose Network Element Device Management > Unified Communications > Adaptation Management from the navigation tree on the left.
  5. Click .
  6. In Adaptation Management page, click and choose adaptation package.
  7. Click Confirm.

    The adaptation package is uploaded and installed.
