Managing Optical Splitters

This topic describes how to view information about optical splitters.

  • eSight is running properly.
  • OLTs, ONUs, and optical splitters exist in the system.

Optical splitter is a component of the PON network. It is a passive device connected to the OLT and ONU. After an OLT is added to eSight, eSight will allocate an optical splitter named Splitter(L1) to the PON interface of the OLT by default.

  1. Choose Resource > PON from the main menu.
  2. Choose PON Resource > Splitter from the navigation tree on the left.
  3. Set OLT Name, OLT IP, Splitter Name, Splitter Alias, and click Search to search for desired optical splitters.
  4. In the list, view the name, IP address, subrack ID, slot ID, and port ID of the OLT to which the optical splitter is connected, and the optical splitter name, alias, split ratio, and remarks.
