Managing Terminal Accounts

eSight provides the terminal account management function, including adding accounts, modifying account passwords, and deleting accounts.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration > Collaboration Management > Terminal Device Management from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > System Configuration.
  3. Manage terminal accounts in the Terminal Account Management area.

    NOTE:

    When a terminal account is added or a terminal account password is changed, the system enables the account password complexity verification function by default. You can disable this function as required. However, you are not advised to disable this function because this may cause a security risk.

    Procedure

    Adding a terminal account

    1. Click Add.
    2. Enter a name and password for the account to be created in the dialog box that is displayed.
    3. Click OK.
      NOTE:

      Through the terminal account management function, you can only add accounts for terminals to connect to eSight. A maximum of 10 terminal accounts can be added.

    Changing the password of a terminal account

    1. Click .
    2. Enter the new password twice in the dialog box that is displayed and click OK.

    Deleting a terminal account

    1. Click .
    2. In the Confirm dialog box, click OK.
      NOTE:

      The default eSight and ems accounts cannot be deleted.
