Designing a Service Topology

You can design a service topology according to actual network conditions to facilitate monitoring and management.


  1. Choose Resource > Network > Security Business > IPSec VPN Management from the main menu.

  2. Choose Service Management > Service Topology from the navigation tree on the left.
  3. Click and understand legends in a topology.
  4. Design a service topology.

    1. Discovering services: Right-click the blank area and choose Discover Service from the shortcut menu to ensure that the latest IPSec VPN services are discovered to the topology.
    2. Importing subnets of a physical topology: Right-click the blank area and choose Import Physical Topo from the shortcut menu to import all subnets in the physical topology and the mapping between devices and subnets to the IPSec VPN service topology.
    3. Dividing subnets: Right-click the blank area and choose New Subnet from the shortcut menu to create a subnet to manage devices. Right-click the subnet and choose New Child Subnet from the shortcut menu to create a child subnet.

      After right-clicking a subnet, you can choose Modify Subnet from the shortcut menu to modify the subnet name and description or Delete Subnet from the shortcut menu to delete an empty subnet. The subnet that has a child subnet cannot be deleted.

    4. Adding devices to a subnet: Right-click a subnet, choose Add Device from the shortcut menu, select devices to be added, and click OK.

      You can also right-click a device, choose Move to Subnet from the shortcut menu, select the subnet to which the device is moved, and click OK.
