Setting Upgrade Parameters

Setting Upgrade Parameters

You can set upgrade parameters for terminals to specify the concurrent number of the file server, number of automatic upgrade attempts, and upgrade timeout period. This prevents the batch upgrade of terminals from occupying too much resources and causing service exceptions.

Prerequisites

Terminal subnets have been created.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration > Collaboration Management > Terminal Device Management from the main menu.

  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > System Configuration.
  3. Under Upgrade Parameter Configuration, set terminals upgrade parameters.

    • The default value of Automatic Re-execute Times is 3. If the upgrade fails, the terminals attempt to execute the upgrade again. When the number of automatic upgrade attempts reaches the specified threshold, the upgrade stops.
    • The default value of Upgrade Timeout Time is 30, in minutes. If a terminal does not report an upgrade success message to the eSight within the time specified by the Upgrade Timeout Time parameter, the eSight determines that the upgrade times out.
    • The default value of Concurrent value is 100. This parameter is used to specify the maximum number of terminals that can be concurrently upgraded.

  4. Click OK and click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
  5. (Optional) In the Automatic Retry Upgrade Task area, set Automatic Retry Status to ON.

    NOTE:

If a terminal fails to be upgraded due to logout, it will automatically attempt to be upgraded after going online again.
