Configuring the STUN Server Parameter

Configuring the STUN Server Parameter

eSight provides STUN server parameter configuration. You can use it to enable the STUN service to achieve cross-NAT management of terminal devices.

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration > Collaboration Management > Terminal Device Management from the main menu.

  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > System Configuration.
  3. Under STUN Server Parameter Configuration, set Enable STUN to Enable.

    • Enable: The STUN service is enabled.
    • Disable: The STUN service is disabled.

  4. Set STUN minimum period (second) and STUN maximum period (second).

The default value of STUN minimum period (second) is 10 and STUN maximum period (second) is 3600(unit: second).

  5. Set STUN server IP address and STUN server port number.

    • STUN server IP address is the IP address of eSight.
    • The default value of STUN server port number is 3478.
    • If you need to modify the value of STUN server IP address or STUN server port number, see Operation and Maintenance > Maintenance Guide > Maintenance Reference > Configuration Files > Collaboration Management > of the eSight documentation.

  6. Set IP segment disabling STUN service. This parameter is valid only when Enable STUN is set to Enable.

    • You can set multiple IP network segments, which are separated by semicolons (;). A maximum of 100 IP network segments can be set.
    • After an IP address segment is set, if the IP address of a terminal is within that segment, the STUN service is disabled for the terminal. If the IP address of a terminal is not in that segment, the STUN service is enabled for the terminal.
    • If IP segment disabling STUN service is left empty, the STUN service is enabled for terminals on all network segments.

  7. Click OK and click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
