Equipment Management

This topic describes how to synchronize OLT data and view OLT information.

Prerequisites

  • eSight is running properly.
  • An OLT has been added to eSight.

Procedure

  • Synchronizing OLT data

    Synchronize data of the frame, board, subcard and port and the ONUs connected to the OLT to eSight.

    1. Choose Resource > PON from the main menu.
    2. Choose PON Resource > Device from the navigation tree on the left.
    3. Select one or more records and click Synchronize.

  • Viewing OLT information
    • In the OLT list, you can view the Status, Name, IP Address, Type, GroupName, Total ONUs, Online ONUs, Manufacturer about an OLT.
    • In the OLT list, click the Name of a record to enter the OLT NE Explorer. Choose View > OverView from the navigation tree on the left and view details about the OLT, including health, basic information, CPU usage, memory usage, response duration, daily ping failures, Ethernet port usage, GPON UNI port usage, GPON ONU state statistics, Ethernet port, neighborhood, GPON UNI port, and ONU.
NOTE:

If the number of ONU connected to the OLT exceeds 10, click More behind ONU list to view information of all ONUs connect to this OLT in the new tab. You can set Name, Alias or State and click Search to find the desired ONU. Click to export information of all ONUs connect to this OLT.

  • In the OLT list, click the Online ONUs or Total Number of ONUs of a record to view information about ONUs connected to the OLT.
  • In the OLT list, click of a record and view the topology information in the displayed Topology Management tab.
  • In the NE Explorer, choose View > Device Panel from the navigation tree to view the slot, board, and port of the OLT.

Related Operations

Purpose

Restore management of selected NE.

Cancel management of selected NE.

NOTE:

After the NE is unmanaged, no alarm or performance data is reported to the NMS.

Synchronize data of frame, board, subcard and port of the OLT and the ONUs connected to the OLT to eSight.

Set a fixed time to automatically synchronize device data to eSight every day.

NOTE:

Synchronization consumes a large number of resources. You are advised to perform automatic synchronization when services are not busy.

Move NE to selected subnet.

Set timezone of selected NE.

Export details of selected NE to an .xls file.

Export details of all NE to an .xls file.

Modify Maintained by, Used on, Expiration Date, Asset manager, Purchased on and Remarks of selected devices in batches.

Delete selected NE on eSight in batches.

NOTE:

If you delete the selected NE, all related data about the NE will be deleted including connected ONU.

To view the OLT topology on the Topology Management tab.

Modify Maintained by, Used on, Expiration Date, Asset manager, Asset No, Purchased on and Remarks of OLT.

To view resource detail about frame, board, subcard and port of OLT.

Delete NE on eSight.

NOTE:

If you delete the selected NE, all related data about the NE will be deleted including connected ONU.
