Health Report Management

You can create health report tasks to check the environment health evaluation reports of equipment rooms or eSight Infrastructure Manager sites and device health reports of UPSs.

Creating a Health Report Task

This section describes how to create a health report task for an equipment room, eSight Infrastructure Manager site, or device to check the health report information.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
    The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Monitor
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Alarm
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Business
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Analysis
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Access Control Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Device Software Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy
    • Resource > Infrastructure > System
  • You have created a management domain and a device in the Data Center Planning window.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Infrastructure > Business > Health Management > Health Report from the main menu. The Health Report window is displayed.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Health Report > Task management.
  3. In the displayed Task management window, click Create and set parameters according to Table 21-39.

    Parameter Description

    Task name

    Name of the created task
    NOTE:

    The task name cannot be changed after the creation.

    Report name

    Name of the created report

    Generation mode

    The generation mode can be set to Auto or Manual.
    NOTE:

    When it is set to Auto, you can set Execution period and Execution time.

    Execution period can be set to the following values:
    • Every day: Execute the task at the specified time every day.
    • Every week: Execute the task at the specified time on a certain day or several days every week.
    • Every month: Execute the task at the specified time on a certain day or several days every month.

    The generation mode cannot be changed after the creation.

    Task type

    You can filter management domains or devices by Room/Site, UPS or Air Condition.

  4. Optional: Select Forward by email and set parameters according to Table 21-40.

    Parameter Description

    Recipient

    Recipient of the email. If you have specified recipients, click Recipients to select one from them. Otherwise, click Edit the user group to set the recipient.

    Subject

    Subject of the report you want to send. Enter 0 to 128 characters.

    Report format

    Format of the report you want to send. Reports in the PDF and EXCEL formats are supported.

    Content

    Body of the report you want to send. Enter 0 to 128 characters.

  5. Click Confirm.

    NOTE:

    You can click Confirm and start to complete the task creation and start the task.

Follow-up Procedure

You can perform the following operations on the report tasks you have set in the Task management window:

Query report tasks.

Enter the task name on the toolbar and click .

View report tasks.

Click in the Operation column corresponding to the target task to check the report details.

Start report tasks.

Click in the Operation column corresponding to the target task.

NOTE:
Start tasks in batches: Select multiple tasks at a time and click Start on the toolbar.

Stop report tasks.

Click in the Operation column corresponding to the target task.

NOTE:
Stop tasks in batches: Select multiple tasks at a time and click Stop on the toolbar.

Delete report tasks.

  • Delete one task:
    • Select the task to be deleted and click Delete on the toolbar.
    • Click in the Operation column corresponding to the target task.
  • Delete tasks in batches: Select multiple tasks at a time and click Delete on the toolbar.

Modify report tasks.

  1. Click in the Operation column corresponding to the target task.
  2. Modify parameters in Table 21-39 and Table 21-40.
  3. Click Confirm.

    You can click Confirm and start to complete the task modification and start the task.

Checking the Equipment Room Health Report

This section describes how to check the health report of an equipment room or eSight Infrastructure Manager site. You can export the report to the local PC or send it by email for checking and storaging.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
    The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Monitor
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Alarm
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Business
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Analysis
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Access Control Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Device Software Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy
    • Resource > Infrastructure > System
  • You have created and started the equipment room/eSight Infrastructure Manager site health report task.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Infrastructure > Business > Health Management > Health Report from the main menu. The Health Report window is displayed.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose neteco.healthmgr > Equipment room health report.
  3. In the Equipment room health report window, click in the Operation column corresponding to the target report to check the report details.

    You can send or export the report in the report details window.

Follow-up Procedure

Perform the following operations in the Equipment room health report window as required.
