Autocontrol Management

The association management involves the management of the policies, event list, action list, and logs.

Strategy management

This section describes how to create, delete, and modify an association policy.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
    The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Monitor
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Alarm
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Business
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Analysis
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Access Control Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Device Software Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy
    • Resource > Infrastructure > System
  • You have created events and actions.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy from the main menu. The Autocontrol Strategy window is displayed.
  2. In the navigation tree, choose Autocontrol Strategy > Strategy. The Strategy window is displayed.

    You can perform the operations described in Table 21-65 on the Strategy page.

    Create the policy

    1. Click Create. The page for creating an association policy is displayed.
    2. Enter the name for the policy as prompted, select period, and specify the policy.
    3. Click Next. The page for selecting events is displayed.
    4. Click Add. The dialog box for Select Event is displayed.
    5. Select events and click OK.
    6. Click Next. The Customize Strategy page is displayed.
      • When only one event is selected, the policy is SINGLE by default.
      • When two or more events are selected, you can select AND, OR, or CUSTOM from the Select Strategy drop-down list.
      Figure 21-99 shows how to set user-defined policies after you select CUSTOM.
      NOTE:

      When you select CUSTOM, the connections between events and logical controls, and between logical controls can be established using either of the following two methods:

      • Drag the mouse to connect them.
      • Use the LINE control to connect them.

      The procedure is as follows:

      1. If you drag the mouse to connect them, skip this step and go to b. If you use the LINE control to connect them, click the LINE control and perform the following operations:
      2. Move the cursor to of an event or control and click after the cursor turns to a cross.
      3. Drag the event or control with the mouse to the direction towards another control, select in the control, and click after the endpoint turns to red.
      4. You can repeat the preceding two steps to add the connections between events and controls and between controls.

      Method of adjusting the connection line: click the arrow of the connection line to adjust the connections.

      Method of deleting the connection line: select the connection line and press Delete to delete it.

    7. Click Next. The page for selecting actions is displayed.
    8. Click Add. The dialog box for Select Action is displayed.
    9. Select actions and click OK.
    10. Click Next. The Result Confirm page is displayed.
    11. Click Finish. An association policy is created.
      NOTE:

      Equipment in event or the movement that a strategy quotes was deleted, this event, actions and strategy will expire.

      On the association policy page, you can click the name of a policy in the association policy list to view detailed information about the policy.

    Modify the policy

    1. Click of an association policy. The page for modifying the association policy is displayed. The page varies with the policy. The following operate uses the AND policy as an example.
    2. You can modify another period or strategy description, or add or delete events and actions.
    3. Click Confirm. The association policy is modified.
    NOTE:
    You cannot modify a policy when it is enabled, If you want to modify a policy, click to disable the association policy.

    Delete the policy

    1. Select the policy to be deleted and click Delete. The confirm dialog box is displayed.
    2. Click Yes to delete the policy.

    Disable the policy

    Click of an association policy.

    Enable the policy

    Click of an association policy.

    Implement the policy in advance

    Click of an association policy.
    NOTE:

    After performing Pre-execution, you can view details in the Log window. For detailed operations, see Logs.

Event Management

This topic describes how to create, delete, and modify an event in the event management.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
    The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Monitor
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Alarm

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy from the main menu. The Autocontrol Strategy window is displayed.
  2. In the navigation tree, choose Autocontrol Strategy > Event. The Event window is displayed.

    You can perform the operations described in Table 21-66 on the Event page.

    1. Click Create. The Create Event page is displayed.
    2. Enter the name of the event, select the measurement objects indicator instances or alarm instance, and specify the threshold.
      NOTE:

      You can delete the selected indicators in the measurement object list.

    3. Click Confirm. The event is created.

    Modify the event

    1. Click of an event. The page for modifying the event is displayed.
    2. Modify the measurement objects, indicator instances, and threshold.
    3. Click Confirm. The event is modified.

    Delete the event

    1. In the event list, select the event to be deleted and click Delete. The confirm dialog box is displayed.
    2. Click Yes to delete the event.
      NOTE:

      Cannot be deleted using the strategy event.

Action Management

Supports to increase, deletion and the revision movement.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
    The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:

Logs

This topic describes how to query the number of times that a policy is executed or pre-executed, the execution time, actions, and results (succeeded or failed) in logs.

Procedure

  2. In the navigation tree, choose Log. The Log page is displayed.

    Click , you can view the details in the displayed dialog box, as shown in Figure 21-100.

    In the Log Detail dialog box, click the Event Log or Action Log tab to view the event or action execution result on the corresponding tab page.
