Customizing a Monitoring View for a Large Screen

Customizing a Monitoring View for a Large Screen

This section describes how to customize a monitoring view for a large high-resolution screen to display services such as the topology of devices on the large screen. This function enables monitoring of key information using the large screen and display of the IT operation and maintenance effect.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight Infrastructure Manager client by web browser.
  • You are authorized to use View Infrastructure Right.
The operation right consist of all operation rights for the following function menus:
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Monitor
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Alarm
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Business
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Analysis
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Access Control Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Configuration Management > Device Software Management
    • Resource > Infrastructure > Configuration > Autocontrol > Autocontrol Strategy
    • Resource > Infrastructure > System

Context

  • The Big Screen Monitor function option is not displayed in the main menu by default. To display it in the main menu, you need to enable the function in the eSight Infrastructure Management Maintenance Tool. For details, see Configuring eSight Infrastructure Manager Menu Options in the eSight Product Documentation.

  • The eSight Infrastructure Manager supports a large high-resolution screen formed by only one screen (no border line) and a large screen formed by multiple split screens (there are border lines between split screens). For a large screen formed by multiple split screens, it is recommended that the number of split screens and the resolution of each split screen be set based on the actual screen conditions.
    • Set the screen resolution to the resolution of the large screen used for projection. The resolution is not affected by the number of split screens.
    • If the content needs to be projected onto one large screen, set the number of split screens to 1*1. If the content needs to be projected onto four split screens (the content on each split screen is different), set the number of split screens to 2*2. Set the number of split screens by following the preceding principles.
  • After you press F11 on the demonstration page, you can check the monitoring view in full-screen mode.
