eNodeB Upgrade Management

eNodeB Upgrade Management

You can upgrade a eNodeB to a later version or roll back a eNodeB to an earlier version.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight client.
  • You have obtained the firmware version file for a specific eNodeB model or a firmware version file for a specific eNodeB model that has been created in eSight.
  • You have been assigned the operation rights.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > eLTE > Device Software Management > eNodeB Upgrade Management from the main menu.
  2. Click to create a task.

    1. Set Task Name, Device type, Task type, Scheduled task, Scheduled Time and Activate now in Task Settings.
      • If you set Scheduled Task to ON, set Scheduled Time manually.
      • If you set Scheduled Task to OFF, eSight performs the upgrade task immediately.
      • If you set Activate now to ON, the activation command will be sent immediately after the version file is downloaded. You can also manually activate the version in the Task Details area.
    2. Select device in Select Device.
      1. Click and select a managed object on the page that is displayed.
      2. Click OK.
    3. Set Target version and File type in Select File.
      NOTE:

      When Device type is set to DBS3900 LTE, Task type is set to Upgrade Configuration and Target version is set to encrypted version, enter File encryption password in the Select File column. The entered value of File encryption password must be the same as that entered during Generate Backup File.

  3. Click OK.

Follow-up Procedure

you can perform the following operations on the eNodeB Upgrade Management page.

You can perform this operation to view task details.

  1. Click name of the target task.
  2. Browse the information of task on new page.
  3. Click Return to return to the eNodeB Upgrade Management page.

Set parameters

  1. Click.
  2. Set Configure Automatic Upgrade Retry, Upgrade Timeout Time and Configure Upgrade Total Concurrency on the new page according to actual needs.
  3. Click Apply.

Query task

You can perform this operation to check whether a eNodeB is upgraded.

  1. Specify the search criteria, including Task Type, Device name, IP address, and Task Status.
  2. Click Search. Upgrade information about the queried task is displayed on the current page.

Stop task

You can perform this operation to stop upgrade tasks.

  • Stop a single task.
    1. Click next to the target task.
    2. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.
  • Stop multiple tasks in a batch.
    1. Select the tasks you want to stop.
    2. Click.
    3. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.

Archive task

You can perform this operation to move upgrade information to Upgrade History.

  • Archive a single task.
    1. Click next to the target task.
    2. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.
  • Archive multiple tasks in a batch.
    1. Select upgrade tasks you want to archive.
    2. Click.
    3. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.

Export task

You can perform this operation to export upgrade tasks.

  1. Click next to the target task.
  2. Select a path for saving the upgrade task and click Save.
