Anonymity Setting

Anonymity Setting

eSight allows users to enable or disable the anonymity function. You can change the anonymity key for the anonymous policy algorithm. After logging in to the eSight for the first time, you need to change the anonymity key to ensure the data security. Periodically changing the key can improve user information security.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight client.
  • You have been assigned the operation rights.

Context

  • The anonymous switch is enabled by default. After you set the anonymous policy, the eSight delivers the policy to all eSE devices it manages.
  • The anonymity status and key of eSE devices within a network must be consistent. Otherwise, tracing or monitoring results may be abnormal. To verify the consistency, perform operations described in Anonymity Consistency Check.

Procedure

  • Use the default anonymity key for the anonymous policy.
    1. Choose Resource > eLTE > eLTE System Settings > Anonymity Setting from the main menu.
    2. Set Anonymity Switch to on.
    3. Select default key and click Apply.
    4. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Yes.
  • Change the anonymity key for the anonymous policy.
    1. Choose Resource > eLTE > eLTE System Settings > Anonymity Setting from the main menu.
    2. Set Anonymity Switch to on.
    3. Select new key.
    4. Set New key and Repeat Key.
    5. Click Apply.
    6. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Yes.
      NOTE:

If you set Anonymity Switch to off, and Click Apply, the anonymity function will be disabled.
