Signalling Trace

Signalling Trace

By tracking, collecting, and graphically displaying the interface and link messages, this function provides data to support routine maintenance, commissioning, and fault locating on devices.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the eSight client
  • You have the signalling tracing right.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > eLTE > Fault Diagnosis > Signalling Trace from the main menu.
  2. Click Create Task.

    NOTE:

    To ensure the security of subscribers' sensitive information during signaling trace, the sensitive information remains anonymous while being transmitted between eNodeB and eSight.

  3. Set task parameters based on the site requirements.

    • Set Task Name.
    • Click next to Scheduled Start Time and Scheduled End Time respectively to set the start time and end time.
    • Select Report Type.
    • Set Report Period.
    NOTE:

    When File Report is selected in Report Type, Report Period needs to be set.

  4. Select monitoring object.

    1. Click Select Monitoring Object.
    2. In the dialog box that is displayed, select NE to monitor, and click OK.

  5. Select trace parameters.

    1. In Select Trace Type, select a trace type.

      Trace items are displayed.

    2. Select trace parameters.

  6. Click OK.

Follow-up Procedure

After the task is created, you can perform the following operations on the Signalling Trace page.

Search Task

  1. Click on the search bar.
  2. Set the search criteria on the page that is displayed.
    • Select State, Monitor Type.
    • Set Task Name.
    • Select Real Start Time, Real End Time
    • In More, click Device Name, Cell ID, and Error Cause respectively, and enter the search criteria.
  3. Click Search.

Query Task

  1. Click before a task to query.
  2. Task details are displayed.

Start Task

  • Start a single task.

    In the Operation column of a task, click.

  • Start tasks in a batch.
    1. Select tasks you want to start.
    2. Click Start above the list.

Stop Task

  • Stop a single task.

    In the Operation column of a task, click.

  • Stop tasks in a batch.
    1. Select tasks you want to stop.
    2. Click Stop above the list.

Delete Task

  • Delete a single task

    In the Operation column of a task, click.

  • Delete in batches
    1. Select tasks to delete.
    2. Click Delete Task in the upper part of the table.

Export Task

  1. In the Operation column of a task, click.
  2. Select the file path and click OK.
