Adding Groups

Adding Groups

This section describes how to maintain cameras by groups.

Prerequisites

  • Subnets for region division have been created.
  • The IVS unified access agent has been created.

Context

In a safe city project, videos are managed by group. One group contains one or more cameras, a network access device such as the AR, a power supply, and various sensors. When faults occur in a group, maintenance personnel can quickly query all fault information in the group to repair all the faults at a time.

Adding Groups Using a Business Map

  1. Choose Resource > Intelligent Video Surveillance from the main menu.

  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Group Management > Business Map.

  3. Click or in the left to expand Resource.
  4. Optional: If it is in monitored status, click on the topology toolbar to enter the editing mode.
  5. Right-click Resource or a subnet in the topology view for which a group is to be added, and select Create Group.

  6. Right-click Resource or a group in the topology view, and select Add Device to Group.

  7. Select cameras, AR, or NE to be added to the group, and click Confirm.

  8. Double-click the group icon in the topology view to check the topology view of the group. Click on the topology toolbar to exit the topology view of the group.
