Configuring the AP Access Service

Configuring the AP Access Service

The OLT is connected to the remote ONU through a GPON port, ONU is connected to the AP through a ethernet port, AP provide user with wifi service.

Prerequisites

The ONU is added to the OLT.

Data planning

Table 4-6  Data planning

Item

Data

Traffic profile

  • Profile name: traffic_table_ap
  • CIR: off

ONU line profile

Profile name: pol_line_all

GEM port ID: 15

Networking data

Uplink port: 0/2/0

PON access port: 0/1/0

ONU ID: 3

VLAN Planning

Single VLAN tag
  • CVLAN ID: 400
  • SVLAN ID: 400
  • VLAN type: smart
  • VLAN attribute: common
NOTE:

If the AP plans to manage VLAN, refer to the following configuration steps to pass through the management VLAN.

Procedure

  1. (Option) Configure a traffic profile.

Run the display traffic table ip command to query existing traffic profiles in the system. If the traffic profiles existing in the system do not meet the requirements, you need to run the traffic table ip command to add a traffic profile.

Set the profile name to traffic_table_ap, the CIR to off, and the priority to 0. Packets are scheduled according to the priority specified in the profile.

    huawei(config)#traffic table ip name traffic_table_ap cir off priority 0 priority-policy local-setting

  2. Configure the mapping between a GEM port and a VLAN.

The service flow of user VLAN 400 mapped to GEM port with index 15, respectively in the ONU line profile.

    huawei(config)#ont-lineprofile gpon profile-name pol_line_all
    huawei(config-gpon-lineprofile-1)#gem mapping 15 1 vlan 400
    huawei(config-gpon-lineprofile-1)#commit
    huawei(config-gpon-lineprofile-1)#quit

  3. Configure the VLAN of the Ethernet port on the ONU.

Add ethernet port 1 to VLAN 400 in the ONU service profile.

    huawei(config)#ont-srvprofile gpon profile-name pol_ser
    huawei(config-gpon-srvprofile-1)#port vlan eth 1 400
    huawei(config-gpon-srvprofile-1)#commit
    huawei(config-gpon-srvprofile-1)#quit

  4. Create a service VLAN and add an upstream port to it.

Add upstream port 0/2/0 to VLAN 400.

    huawei(config)#vlan 400 smart
    huawei(config)#port vlan 400 0/2 0

  5. Create service flow.

Create service flow, set the service VLAN to 400, GEM port ID to 15, and user VLAN to 400, and use traffic profile traffic_table_ap.

    huawei(config)#service-port vlan 400 gpon 0/1/0 ont 3 gemport 15 multi-service user-vlan 400 tag-transform
    translate inbound traffic-table name traffic_table_ap outbound traffic-table name traffic_table_ap

  6. (Option) Configure the power over Ethernet (PoE) function for an ONU Ethernet port.

Create the maximum PoE class of an ONT Ethernet port class 3.

    huawei(config)#interface gpon 0/1
    huawei(config-if-gpon-0/1)#ont port poe 0 3 eth 1 enable max-power-class class3
    huawei(config-if-gpon-0/1)#quit
    NOTE:

To check whether a device supports PoE, see the corresponding product documentation. PoE cannot be implemented on a device that does not support it.

  7. Save the data.

    huawei(config)#save
