Hardware Configuration Rules

This section describes the rules for placing and installing the nodes, switches, KVM, and other components of FusionStorage.

NOTE:
  • In practice, a deployment solution is determined based on project requirements. The total power consumption and weight of the nodes, switches, and KVM in a cabinet must be calculated and the number of nodes that can be housed by a cabinet must be determined based on the equipment room conditions.
  • Nodes must be installed into a cabinet from bottom to top to prevent the cabinet from falling over.
  • You are advised to evenly allocate nodes among cabinets.
