Installation Description

Installation Description

In the software and hardware integration scenario, EulerOS operating systems have been installed on the servers at delivery. You can skip this operation. In scenarios where hardware and software are not integrated, install operating systems (OSs) for servers in the FusionStorage Block system, including the servers accommodating the FSM and FSA nodes.

If FSM is deployed on independent physical servers, do not deploy physical servers with FSM as storage nodes.

  • Table 8-5 lists the requirements of the FSM and FSA nodes for the OS partition size.

  • If FSM and FSA nodes are deployed in converged mode, the required OS directory space is the sum of the respective space required by FSM and FSA nodes.
  • Log partition /var/log must be a separate partition and cannot share space with other partitions. Do not save other files in this partition. Otherwise, log space will be occupied, resulting in failure to save new logs and affecting fault location.

  • Users omm, ommdba, and dsware are automatically created during the FSM node installation. They share system group ID (GID) 2000 and use system user identities (UIDs) 2001, 2002, and 2011, respectively.

Ensure that the UIDs and GID on the FSM node are not occupied. Otherwise, the installation fails.
