Modifying the FSM Network

Modifying the FSM Network

After FSM nodes are installed, if FusionSphere OpenStack has modified the External OM network, modify the FSM network.

  • The FusionStorage Manager (FSM) nodes have been installed.
  • FusionSphere OpenStack has modified its External OM network.

    1. Log in to a controller host in the FusionSphere OpenStack system.
    2. Import environment variables. For details, see Importing Environment Variables.
    3. Run the following command to query the FSM VM IDs and the External OM network IP addresses of the FSM VMs:

      nova list |grep FusionStorageManager

Information similar to the following is displayed:
      | b3edce1e-48fe-451f-821b-b8a3f57e2cf0 | FusionStorageManager_dsware-server1_01 | ACTIVE | - | Running | internal_base=; external_om= |
      | 70eb3520-80d4-4930-a12d-609e98b165a8 | FusionStorageManager_dsware-server1_02 | ACTIVE | - | Running | internal_base=; external_om= |

    4. Run the following command to update the IP addresses of the FSM VMs in the metadata:

nova meta FSM VM ID set om-fixip=IP address of the local FSM VM om-remote-ip=IP address of the remote FSM VM om-netmask=Subnet mask

In the preceding command, the IDs and IP addresses of the FSM VMs are those obtained in 3.

      Example commands:

      nova meta b3edce1e-48fe-451f-821b-b8a3f57e2cf0 set om-fixip= om-remote-ip= om-netmask=

      nova meta 70eb3520-80d4-4930-a12d-609e98b165a8 set om-fixip= om-remote-ip= om-netmask=

    5. Log in to the FusionSphere OpenStack web client over the External API network.

The login address is in the format of https://Reverse proxy IPv4 address of FusionSphere OpenStack:8890, for example,

The default username is admin. The default password is FusionSphere123.

    6. Choose Cloud Service > FusionStorage.
    7. Log in to the active FSM node using VNC.
    8. Run the following command to delete the HA configuration flag file:

      rm -f /opt/dsware/manager/openstack/iscpsconfig

    9. Run the following command to restart the FSM VM:

    10. Repeat 7 to 9 to perform the configuration on the standby FSM node.
