Unlocking Account root of a Storage Node Using KVM

Context

If incorrect passwords are entered for three consecutive times when an account is used to log in to a storage node using SSH or SFTP, the account will be locked for 5 minutes. To unlock the account, use the KVM to locally log in to the storage node.

Procedure

  1. See chapter Logging In to the Storage Node Using the KVM in this appendix to log in to the storage node.
  2. Run the pam_tally2 --user root --reset command.
