This section explains how to import a security certificate or add security exceptions for DeviceManager in Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox.

Installing a Security Certificate in Internet Explorer

This section uses Internet Explorer 9.0 as an example to explain how to install a security certificate in the Windows operating system.
  1. In the address box of Internet Explorer on the maintenance terminal, enter https://IP:httpsport and press Enter.
  2. When you are prompted with There is a problem with this website's security certificate, select Continue to this website (not recommended).
  3. In the System Prompt page, click Ignore and Continue.
  4. On the right of the address box, click Certificate Error. In the dialog box that is displayed, click View Certificates.
  5. In the Certificate dialog box that is displayed, click Install Certificate.

    NOTE:
    • Verify that the IP address from which the certificate is issued is the same as the one used to log in to DeviceManager. If the two IP addresses are different, There is a problem with this website's security certificate will be displayed the next time you import the certificate and log in to DeviceManager.
    • Verify that the client time is within the certificate validity period.

  6. Read instructions in Certificate Import Wizard and click Next.
