Configuring System Parameters

  1. Log in to the OS as user root. Run two command to configure system parameters like this in the putty:

    echo never >/sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled
    cat /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled

  2. Run the vi /etc/rc.d/boot.local. Enter the following information to make the configuring modify automaticlly every time.

    echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled
    echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/pagecache_limit_mb

  3. Open the /boot/grub/menu.ls file. Enter the following information in front of showopts of the N+1 title when Default is equal to N, as shown in Figure 5-65.

    intel_idle.max_cstate=0 processor.max_cstate=0

  4. On the CLI press Esc, run :wq, and press Enter to save the information.
  5. Run reboot to make the configuration effective.
