Configuring BIOS Parameters

  1. When information shown in the following figure is displayed during the server startup, press Delete to go to the BIOS setup screen.

  2. In the following dialog box, enter the BIOS password, which is case-sensitive.

    The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$. If no password has been set for the BIOS, the BIOS screen will be directly displayed.

  3. On the IntelRCSetup tab screen, select Advanced Power Management Configuration and press Enter.

  4. Select Power Policy Select and press Enter. Select Custom and press Enter.

  5. Enable CPU P State.

    Select EIST (P-states) and Turbo Mode, press Enter. Select Enable and press Enter.

  6. Disable CPU C State.

    Press Esc to exit the CPU P State Control screen. Select CPU C State Control and press Enter.

    • Disabling CPU C3 State: Select CPU C3 report and press Enter. Select Disable and press Enter.
    • Disabling CPU C6 State: Select CPU C6 report and press Enter. Select Disable and press Enter.
    • Disabling Enhanced Halt State: Select Enhanced Halt State and press Enter. Select Disable and press Enter.

  7. Disable T-States.

    Press Esc to exit the CPU C State Control screen. Select CPU T State Control and press Enter.

    Press Esc to exit the CPU T State Control screen.

  8. Press F10, select Yes, and press Enter to save the BIOS settings and restart the server.
