Switch Configuration

The standard switches of the standalone SAP HANA HA cluster are Huawei S6700 or S6800 series switches. The entire cluster provides HANA upper-layer service ports using the 10GE Ethernet network. Two S6700 or S6800 switches need to be stacked to form an HA network. If switches already exist in the customer's existing environment, configure the stacking function for them to form an HA network.

To configure the stacking of Huawei S6700 or S6800 series switches, perform the following steps:

  1. Configure a stack port on each S6700 or S6800 switch. Generally, the port with the largest port number is used as the stack port. For a four-node HANA solution, you are advised to configure four stack ports.
  2. Configure the stacking of two S6700 or S6800 switches. For details, see S6700 or S6800 User Guide.
  3. Connect the network according to the network planning.
