The NE_POWER_OVER alarm indicates that the power consumption of an NE crosses the threshold.


Alarm Severity Alarm Type


Equipment alarm


When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Name Meaning

Parameter 1

Indicates the type of NE power consumption that crosses the threshold.

  • 0x01: The physical power consumption of the NE crosses the threshold.
  • 0x02: The logical power consumption of the NE crosses the threshold.

Impact on the System

If the NE constantly works with high power consumption, the power board constantly works with heavy load.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The power consumption of each logical board installed on the NE crosses the threshold.
  • The total power consumption of all the physical boards installed on the NE crosses the threshold.


  1. Delete unused logical boards on the U2000.
  2. Remove unused physical boards from the NE. The alarm is automatically cleared.
