The PTP_PDELAY_RESP_LOS alarm indicates that Pdelay_Resp packets are lost. This alarm is reported when a port in the Slave, Uncalibrated, or Passive state fails to receive Pdelay_Resp packets (the port status can be queried in PPT clock synchronization attributes).

Alarm Severity Alarm Type

Equipment alarm

Impact on the System

If the alarm is reported on the port in the Slave or Uncalibrated state, the IEEE 1588v2 time cannot be synchronized between NEs.

If the alarm is reported on the port in the Passive state, the standby IEEE 1588v2 link may fail to provide the protection.

Possible Causes

A fault alarm is reported on the board.

  1. Check whether a fault alarm (for example, HARD_BAD or HARD_ERR) is reported on the board. If the fault alarm exists, clear it first. Then check whether this alarm is cleared.
    If… Then...

    The alarm is cleared,

    No further action is required.

    The alarm persists,

Contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
