The ODC_FAN_FAILED alarm indicates that a circulating fan is faulty.

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Parameter 1

Indicates the location of the fault.

  • 0x01: fan at the internal air exhaust vent
  • 0x02: fan at the external air exhaust vent

Impact on the System

The cabinet cannot dissipate heat properly. As a result, the equipment may be damaged and services may be affected.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The cable of the circulating fan is connected incorrectly.
  • The circulating fan is faulty.
  • No circulating fan is installed.


  1. Determine the faulty circulating fan based on the alarm parameters displayed on the U2000.
  2. Connect the cable of the circulating fan correctly according to the specified regulations.
  3. Replace the module where the circulating fan resides.
  4. Install a circulating fan.
