Downlink signal flow

The signal direction is as follows: SDH port → cross-connect unit → PDH port.



Uplink signal flow

The signal direction is as follows: PDH port → cross-connect unit → SDH port.



Higher order signal flow

The signal flow between the SDH port and the cross-connect unit is the higher order signal flow.



Lower order signal flow

The signal flow between the cross-connect unit and the PDH port is the lower order signal flow.
