Parameters

Impact on the System

If the alarm is generated, the services carried at the optical port are interrupted.

Possible Causes

  • The corresponding board at the upstream station has the ODUk_TCMn_OCI alarm.

  • There is a loopback on the corresponding board at the peer station.

  • The corresponding board at the peer station has no or incorrect cross-connection configuration.

Procedure

  1. On the NMS, query whether there is an alarm with a higher severity on the board. If there is, handle the alarm with a higher severity.
  2. If the alarm persists, check whether the upstream station generates this alarm. If this alarm is generated, locate the station that triggers this alarm according to the service route.
  3. Check whether the corresponding board of the station that triggers this alarm has any loopback. If a loopback is found, release the loopback.
  4. If the alarm persists, check whether a cross-connection is correctly configured for the corresponding board of the station that triggers this alarm. If it is not, configure the correct cross-connection.
  5. If the alarm persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers to handle the alarm.
