Description

The ODC_LOAD_PWRDOWN alarm indicates that the secondary load is powered off.

Parameters

When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Possible Causes

Possible causes of this alarm are as follows:

  • The secondary load is powered off due to background control.
  • The AC input is abnormal.
  • The power module is faulty.
  • The PMU is faulty.
  • The cabinet temperature is lower than the lower threshold.
  • The ambient temperature sensor is faulty.
  • The temperature threshold that triggers power-off of the secondary load is set to an inappropriate value.
  • The cabinet temperature is higher than the upper threshold.
  • The ambient temperature sensor is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Determine the cause for the alarm based on the alarm parameters displayed on the U2000.
  2. Power on the secondary load.
  3. Query the threshold for triggering an alarm indicating an exception in the mains supply voltage. Determine whether the threshold is appropriate according to the configuration plan.

    The threshold is set to an inappropriate value

    Set the threshold to an appropriate value.

    The threshold is set to an appropriate value

    Go to the next step.
  4. Check whether the AC circuit breaker is closed.
    If... Then...

    The AC circuit breaker is open

    Close the AC circuit breaker.

  5. Check the AC input power cable.

    The AC input power cable is incorrectly connected

    Connect the cable correctly.

    The AC input power cable is deteriorating or damaged

    Replace the cable.
  6. Rectify the fault on the power module by following the procedure of handling the ODC_MDL_ABN alarm.
  7. Rectify the fault on the PMU.
  8. Check whether the cabinet temperature is lower than the lower threshold.
    If... Then...

    The cabinet temperature is within the specified range

    Go to the next step.

    The cabinet temperature is lower than the lower threshold

    Find out the cause of the low temperature, and rectify the fault.
  9. Replace the ambient temperature sensor of the power module.
  10. Query the upper temperature threshold for triggering an alarm indicating power-off of the secondary load. Determine whether the threshold is appropriate according to the configuration plan.

    The threshold is set to an inappropriate value

    Set the threshold to an appropriate value.

    The threshold is set to an appropriate value

    Go to the next step.
  11. Check whether the ambient temperature is continuously higher than the upper threshold.
    If... Then...

    The temperature is not continuously higher than the upper threshold

    Go to the next step.

    Lower the ambient temperature of the equipment.
  12. Replace the ambient temperature sensor.
